HoneyBun · Review Requests
Every customer you serve gets the same short ask, worded for your business, sent when they are most likely to answer. This page is exactly what they see and exactly what we will never do.
2 messages max · 8am–9pm local only · 1 ask per customer per 90 days
Two touches, then we stop. Both are cancelled the moment the customer leaves a review or opts out.
| Message | When it goes out | What stops it |
|---|---|---|
| The ask | The morning after the job, at 9am in the customer's own time zone | No phone and no email, no consent on file, or they were asked in the last 90 days |
| One reminder | 3 days later, same time of day | They clicked, reviewed, replied, or opted out |
Text first when we have a mobile number, email otherwise. If a text is confirmed undelivered by the carrier, we send that one as email instead, so a bad number does not cost you the review.
Sending hours are 8:00am to 9:00pm in the customer's local time. Nothing leaves between 9pm and 8am, ever, including the reminder.
Your business name, your reply-to address, your phone number. HoneyBun never appears.

Hi Maria, this is The Photo Booth Guy. Thanks again for having us at The Mission Inn. If you have 30 seconds, one line on Google helps the next person find us: go.gethoneybun.com/r/…
Reply STOP to opt out.
Subject: Quick question about your event

Thanks again for having us at the Mission Inn. If you have a moment, would you share how it went? It helps the next person decide, and it tells us what to keep doing.
Both links land on one page that asks a single question: how was it? Everyone sees the same page and the same public review link, whatever they answer. If they tell us something went wrong, that goes straight to you and nowhere else.
Review platforms and the FTC both police this. These rules are built into the system, not left to whoever is sending.
Tell us once and it applies to every message after.
| Setting | What it changes |
|---|---|
| On or off | Turn review requests off and nothing is scheduled. Back on and it picks up from your next completed job. |
| Reply-to address | The address your emails come from and replies land in. Set this before you go live, or the email sends from us. |
| Texting number | Your own registered number, or a shared HoneyBun number if you have not registered one yet. |
| Google profile | Which profile the review link points at. Without it, the page collects private feedback only. |
| Who is contactable | Only customers with consent on file. We never add to that list on your behalf. |
Timing, wording and frequency are deliberately not adjustable per message. They are what keeps you inside the platform rules, and a one-off exception is how operators lose a profile.
If yours is not here, ask us. We would rather answer twice than have you guess.
No. That is review gating, and Google removes business profiles over it. The system has no way to do it, on purpose. In practice the neutral ask still brings in mostly positive reviews, because most of your customers were happy and simply never got asked.
Two messages, three days apart, both during normal hours, both stopping the moment someone engages or opts out. That is fewer touches than most booking confirmations. A customer can also be asked only once every 90 days, no matter how many times they book.
Their feedback goes to you privately and immediately, so you can fix it before it becomes public. The public review link is still on the page, because hiding it would be gating, but most unhappy customers take the private route when it is offered first.
No. They carry your business name, your reply-to address and your number. The only HoneyBun element is the short link the feedback page lives on.
The wording adapts to your type of business already, and the parts that cannot change are the parts that keep you compliant. If something reads wrong for your business, tell us and we change it for every operator like you, not just for you.
It lands in your normal conversation thread with that customer, like any other reply. Nobody at HoneyBun answers on your behalf.
Tell us what you saw and when. These are the four we can usually fix the same day.
