My Site

Q
Who owns my domain?
You do. Always.

Your domain stays in your name at whatever registrar you purchased it from (GoDaddy, Namecheap, Google Domains, etc.). We never take ownership of your domain. When we set up your site, we just point the DNS to our servers — you can reverse that at any time.

Q
Can I edit my own website?
Yes — from your phone or computer.

Open the HoneyBun app and tap Edit Site. You can update text, swap photos, change service descriptions, and add new content. Changes go live immediately.

For bigger changes (new pages, layout adjustments, design tweaks), text the team and we'll handle it — usually same day.

Q
How do I add new cities or services?
Text the team the cities or services you want added.

New city pages and service pages are generated automatically with localized content, schema markup, and internal linking. You don't need to write anything — just tell us what to add and we handle the rest.

Most new pages are live within 24-48 hours and indexed by Google within a week.

Q
What if my photos are outdated?
Send new photos and we'll swap them in.

Text or email your new photos to the team. We'll optimize them for web (compression, sizing, alt text for SEO) and update your site. Good photos convert more leads — we recommend updating quarterly.

Q
Do I need to know WordPress?
No. You never need to log into WordPress.

Everything you'd want to do — edit content, view leads, check analytics — is in the HoneyBun app. WordPress powers the site behind the scenes, but you never interact with it directly. If you get a WordPress login email, you can safely ignore it.

SEO & Rankings

Q
How long until I start ranking on Google?
First rankings: 1-2 weeks. Strong positions: 2-4 months.

Google needs to discover and index your pages before you can rank. We submit your sitemap immediately, so indexing typically starts within days. Within 2 weeks, you'll see your first impressions in Google Search Console.

Rankings compound over time. By month 2-3, you'll see meaningful traffic. By month 4-6, the operators who stick with it have strong page-one positions for their target cities.

SEO is not instant — but it's permanent. Unlike ads, rankings don't disappear when you stop paying. Every page we build is an asset you own.

Q
What's the difference between this and Google Ads?
Ads rent attention. HoneyBun builds assets you own.

Google Ads charges you per click. The moment you stop paying, you disappear. HoneyBun builds real web pages that rank organically — no click costs, no daily budgets. The pages we create are yours permanently.

Most operators find that after 3-4 months, their organic traffic exceeds what they were getting from ads — at a fraction of the ongoing cost.

Q
Do I need to write blog posts or content?
No. We handle all content creation.

Every page — city pages, service pages, blog posts — is generated by our AI content engine, reviewed for accuracy, and published automatically. The content is unique to your business, your service area, and your services. You never need to write a word.

Q
What is Google Search Console and do I need it?
It's Google's free tool that shows how your site performs in search. We connect it for you.

Google Search Console (GSC) shows you exactly which searches bring people to your site, how many clicks you get, and where you rank. We connect it during onboarding — you don't need to set anything up.

Your HoneyBun dashboard pulls this data automatically and shows it in plain English. You'll see impressions, clicks, and top keywords without ever logging into GSC directly.

Q
What if my competitor is already ranking?
Good — that means there's demand. We outbuild them.

Most competitors have 5-10 pages on their website. HoneyBun builds 50-200+ pages, each targeting a specific city + service combination. More pages = more entry points for Google to send traffic to you.

We also implement technical SEO, schema markup, and internal linking that most local businesses don't have. Volume + quality wins over time.

Leads

Q
How do I get notified when a lead comes in?
Instant text message to your phone.

Every time someone fills out your contact form, you get a text with their name, phone number, and what they're looking for. You can call them back immediately — right from the text. The faster you respond, the more likely you close the deal.

Q
Can I track my leads?
Yes — every lead is logged in your dashboard.

The Inquiries tab in your app shows every inquiry: name, contact info, date, what they asked about, and current status. You can call, text, and log follow-ups directly from the lead card.

Q
What counts as a "lead"?
Anyone who fills out your contact form or calls the number on your site.

We track form submissions automatically. Phone calls from the website are also logged if call tracking is enabled on your plan. Each lead includes the source page — so you know which city or service page generated it.

Q
What if leads are slow at first?
That's normal. SEO compounds — the first month is the slowest.

Most operators see their first leads within 1-3 weeks, but the volume is low at first. This is expected. Google takes time to discover and trust a new site. By month 2-3, traffic accelerates. By month 4-6, it compounds significantly.

The operators who see the biggest results are the ones who stay consistent and keep their site accurate. We handle the technical work — your job is to respond fast when leads come in.

Billing

Q
What does my monthly fee cover?
Everything — hosting, SEO, content, support, and the platform.

Your monthly subscription includes: WordPress hosting, SSL certificate, CDN, daily backups, all content generation, ongoing SEO optimization, Google integrations, lead tracking, the operator dashboard, the mobile app, and direct support from the team. There are no hidden fees or add-on charges.

Q
Can I cancel?
Yes — 30 days notice, no penalties.

Text or email the team with 30 days notice. We'll export your content, release your domain DNS, and deactivate your account at the end of the billing cycle. Your domain stays yours. If you have a custom WordPress site you want to keep, we can transfer the files to you.

Q
Can I upgrade my plan later?
Yes — anytime, prorated.

Text the team and we'll upgrade your plan. The price difference is prorated for the current billing cycle. Upgrades unlock more city coverage, more content, and faster expansion.

Technical

Q
Is my site mobile-friendly?
Yes — every page is responsive across all devices.

Your site is built mobile-first. It looks and works perfectly on phones, tablets, and desktops. Over 70% of local searches happen on mobile — your site is optimized for exactly that.

Q
Who hosts my website?
We do — on managed cloud servers.

Your site runs on Cloudways managed hosting with DigitalOcean infrastructure. It's fast, secure, and backed up daily. SSL is included. You don't need to manage hosting, updates, or security — that's all handled.

Q
What if my site goes down?
We monitor 24/7 and fix it before you notice.

Automated monitoring checks your site every 5 minutes. If anything goes down, we're alerted immediately and the issue is resolved — usually within minutes. If it's something that requires extended maintenance, the team will text you with an update.

Q
Is my data secure?
Yes — SSL encryption, daily backups, and secure infrastructure.

Your site has an SSL certificate (the padlock in the browser). All form submissions are encrypted in transit. Your data is stored on secure, SOC 2-compliant infrastructure with daily automated backups. We never share or sell your data.
